Monkeys, why’d it have to be monkeys?

We all have our challenges. Snakes for Dr Jones, apparently monkeys for Heather

Last time through Ubud we stopped at the famous Monkey Temple. Cool right? Who wouldn’t love seeing multitudes of cute monkeys doing their thing right up close to you? Even maybe jumping on you?

Every once in a while I think to myself, “what did we learn today Paul?” Well, on that day I learned monkeys are not Heather’s favs. Kind of like Indy with the snakes. So I was a little surprised when she said she’d come with me today to visit the Monkey Temple. But kudos to her, she sucked it up and had another encounter with the residents of this unique place.

No shyness with this one

Heather’s strategy was to be in constant movement, making herself a moving target!
But she was fine walking through a tunnel where the ceiling was full of napping bats!
Even monkeys get by with a little help from their friends
So sweet! Not scary at all!
This one is just super chill!
This one was just happy to be with food. Didn’t bother us at all as we headed out!
