Paris wanderings

Paris is the best place to just wander! Sometimes we pick a goal of where we’d like to end up and other days we just start walking and see where we end up. We regularly share many of our daily wanderings on instagram but I thought I’d just add a few more photos of our Paris adventures here.

Monica – this post is dedicated to you! (Monica is my dad’s cousin and one of my favourite people. She lives in London and she and her late husband Pete had MANY wandering adventures over the years!)

The view of Église Saint Severin from our apartment window

Although we’ve had quite a bit of rain, it is usually a brief shower and when the sun peaks out from behind the clouds, it is glorious!

The flower market on Isle de la cité
A meander through the Champ de Mars
father and daughter in front of Sacré cœur
Saint Sulpice
There were not any little boats in the pond in Jardin de Luxembourg yet
on this chilly morning.
One day a wander that started out in the rain ended up in the sunshine at the little park at the end of Isle de la cité

We’ve wandered around a few museums:

A visit to l’Orangerie led to…
A visit to Giverny to see Monet’s Jardin
The big Pond at Monet’s Garden in Giverny
The studio in Monet’s house

Musée D’Orsay deserved a second visit when Chloe was here.

And of course a visit to Shakespeare & Company was essential

So I could do this:

Chloe and Paul reliving their 2016 father-daughter trip

There are so many great murals around the city!

We happened upon this cool urban art in the tuileries tunnel

We even went to an exposition on street art

A stroll along the banks of the Seine is always a favourite of ours.

And on occasion we sit and enjoy a drink.

a little picnic on the Canal St- Martin
We had a fun night out at a jazz bar near us

There are so many more pictures and little stories to share but for now, this will have to suffice. We are just over half way through our stay in Paris and we have a few more activities planned and a number of strolls, meanders and wandering yet to come.

In the meantime Monica, I love you and I hope this little post brought back lots of memories from your travels.

See you soon!
