Coaching people about travel and providing tips and tricks is what we love to do and we still do that all the time but, we quickly realized that we could do more and do it better. We found an opportunity and decided that Heather would jump into the role of a Travel Advisor. I am now a Connected Agent (a branded name for a home -based advisor) with Travel Best Bets (TBB).
Being a TBB Connected Agent provides me with support and access to a wealth of knowledge, resources and deals of a well-established, Vancouver-based Travel Agency.
It’s been a lot of work and I’ve watched many webinars and training videos, been in zoom calls, attended on-line and in-person supplier presentations, read trending travel reports, been on cruise ship tours, have had 1-1 training and regular check-ins with an experienced advisor, and am currently taking on-line courses to make sure I know how to do this job well.
It’s been rejuvenating, exhausting, exhilarating, stressful, enlightening, hard work, and I am loving it! After all the traveling we’ve done, it is so satisfying to help others experience some of the places we’ve been, but in their own way.
As of July 2025, I have booked 5 different types of trips for travellers: guided package vacations, an All-inclusive vacations for a family group and 2 FITs (Flexible Independent Travel).
We are heading off on a travel adventure of our own soon and along with Heather’s travel business getting going we are looking forward to this blog being a little more active.
